It was a fine documentary.

Regarding the presenter Peter White, coincidentally I was listening to a phone in programme on Radio 5 last night about books. One of the listeners rang in to recommend his autobiography.

I have enjoyed listening to him for many years - he used to present on local radio where I live.

I thought the listener said she had listened to a CD although I can only find cassettes on Amazon at See it My Way: Complete & Unabridged: Amazon.co.uk: Peter White: Books

Thank you for pointing me to an excellent documentary on the World Service. Peter White is a versatile presenter, doing a lot more that the 'In Touch' programme on BBC Radio 4. However, it was very interesting to listen to him talking also from his own personal experience (which he doesn't do often - even when discussing visual disability).

There is an interesting article about efforts to modernise and protect the future of the Royal Blind's Scottish Braille Press on http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7805868.stm.
