Back to the future

Posted by Harald van Breederode on September 14, 2015

Back in 1993 I started my career at Oracle as a Unix System Administrator with a specialization in Sun Solaris. I have been using the Solaris operating system ever since the Solaris 2.0 Early Adopter program started in 1991. Those were the days ;-)

In late 1998 I switched from being a system administrator to being an Oracle DBA Instructor. I have been enjoying teaching students about Oracle database technology since then, but when Oracle acquired Sun Microsystems in 2010 I immediately felt that adding the Oracle Solaris curriculum to my portfolio would be absolutely fabulous. They say that good things take time… It took a while but a couple of weeks ago my dream came true and I delivered the Oracle Solaris 11 System Administration course for the first time with very positive feedback from my students. Thank you guys!

I am thrilled to announce that on November 9th I will deliver the Oracle Solaris 11 System Administration course again in Utrecht, The Netherlands. This time in English to serve an international audience. Hope to see you there to learn all about the most advanced operating system in the universe!
